How does ExoHair Restore Work
ExoHair Restore combines three complementary regenerative mechanisms. Mechanical stimulation of the scalp, targeted delivery of exosome signalling molecules, and light-based cellular stimulation to support follicle health and hair growth from within.

Scalp Microneedling
Controlled microneedling is performed across the scalp to create thousands of microchannels. This stimulates collagen production, improves blood flow, and enhances nutrient supply to the hair follicles, while also creating a pathway for deeper absorption of the exosome solution applied afterwards.

Kintaro® Exosome DEP Infusion
Exosomes function as messengers between cells, carrying instructions and biological material that help the body repair itself. The Kintaro® EP Solution used in this treatment is an ethically sourced exosome solution from Japan, formulated with 80 biological and chemical components that interact with scalp and hair follicle cells to support scalp repair and hair regrowth. Following microneedling, the exosome solution is infused into the scalp using DermoElectroPoration® (DEP), maximising absorption through the microchannels created earlier.

Healite II Red LED Therapy (ExoHair Restore Plus only)
For patients on the ExoHair Restore Plus protocol, a 20-minute session of Healite II red LED therapy is added after the exosome infusion, further supporting scalp restoration and helping to prolong the hair growth cycle.

Duration
A full session, including scalp wash, microneedling, and exosome infusion, typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. Sessions that include Healite II Red LED Therapy (ExoHair Restore Plus) take slightly longer.

Discomfort
Discomfort is generally mild to moderate during microneedling. Needle depth is adjusted according to individual scalp sensitivity to keep the treatment comfortable while achieving the intended endpoint.

Downtime
Downtime is minimal. Mild redness, itchiness, or scalp sensitivity for 24–48 hours after treatment is normal.

Recovery and Aftercare
Avoid washing your hair or scalp for 24 hours after treatment, and avoid activities that cause excessive sweating — vigorous exercise, swimming, hot yoga, steam rooms and saunas — for the same period. Hold off on hair products such as wax, gel, hairspray, dry shampoo or hair tonic for 24 hours, and avoid scratching or picking at the treated scalp if it feels itchy or sensitive. Continue any prescribed topical or oral hair medications and supplements as instructed by your doctor.
Hair restoration is a gradual process. Visible improvement typically develops over several months, and a course of treatments is usually needed for optimal results.
